Camping

They had camping for about three days. On the last day, they went home happily. They felt very tired.

On the second day, they had some activities. They went on hiking. They took some pictures. They sang song together.

They prepared everything before going on camping. The boys prepared the tents. The girls prepared the food. They brought cooking utensils and the food from home. They brought clothes, camera, guitar, etc.

Last holiday, Nida and her friends went camping on the mountain. They went to mount Muria.

On the first day, they sat up the tent. The girls made the fence of the area. Then, they cooked the food for the lunch.

My Visit to Kalimantan

Two years ago, I visited my aunt in Kalimantan. She lived in Samarinda with her family. I went there with my uncle. It was the first time I went by airplane. I was so excited. I could enjoy the scinery from air and see white clouds around me. I stayed in Kalimantan for about 3 weeks.


Here is the picture of my beloved aunt and my litle cousin. We took the photo at a mall in Samarinda. The first place that I visited was a mall. The mall was near to my aunt’s home. We went there to bouy dinner. There was a miniature of ship that I have never seen before. Then, my uncle took the picture for me.





It was me and my aunt. We were standing under the bridge after we crossed Mahakam river. There were a beautiful park under the bridge. From the park, I could see a lot of ships. Those ships are called ‘tongkang’. After that, we went to Tenggarong to visit a museum. In the museum, there was a set of gamelan from jawa. The king of Jawa sent it as a gift for the king of Kutai.







It was me and my litle cousin. We were standing in front of the biggest stadium in Samarinda. My uncle took me there before we went to the airport. My uncle said that the presiden of Indonesia ever visited this stadium. The PON was also held in here.





This was the huge gate of ‘Stadium Utama Kaltim’. I felt that we both were so small in the middle of the road. This is the last place that I visited. I went back to Jawa by airplane. I went home alone because my uncle had to stay in Kalimantan. After all, I was very happy.

George Washington and the Cherry Tree

When George Washington was about six years old, he was made the wealthy master of a hatchet of
which, like most little boys, he was extremely fond. He went about cutting everything that came his way.

One day, as he wandered about the garden amusing him by hacking his mother's pea- sticks. He found a beautiful, young English cherry tree, of which his father was most proud. He tried the edge of his hatchet on the trunk of the tree and barked it so that it died.

Some time after this, his father discovered what had happened to his favorite tree. He came into the house in great anger and demanded to know who the naughty person was who had cut away the bark. Nobody could tell him anything about it. Just then George, with his little axe, came into the room. His father asked him about the tree. This was a hard question to answer, and for a moment George was staggered by it, but quickly recovering himself he cried: "I cannot tell a lie, father, you know I cannot tell a lie! I did cut it with my little axe."

Surprisingly, the anger died out of his father's face, and taking the boy tenderly in his arms, he said: "My son, that you should not be afraid to tell the truth. It is more to me than a thousand trees! Yes, though they were blossomed with silver and had leaves of the purest gold!"

My Trip to Sea World

Last Sunday, I visited a marin park called Sea World, which is at surfers Paradise near Brisbane. It's Australia's largest marine park and I had a wonderful day there.

The first thing I saw was the Oceanarium, which is a place where you can watch all kind of fish and animals under water. There were huge turtles, sharks and beautiful tropical fish. The most eciting thing was waching a man feding the sharks. He wore a special diving suit.

Then, I watched the performing animals. the show was in a big outdoor swimming pool. There were killer whales, dolpins and sea lions. They did all kinds of fantastic things in the water. One of the show girls rode about the pool on the back of a big turtel.

After enjoying the show, I went home.
